Normal Cells
Normal cells are equal in size and shape. The general population has a normal number and size of cell based on height, weight, and genetic makeup. During growth and development, hormones, nutrients, and oxygen assist these cells to grow at a slow rate through adulthood.

Hyperplasia
An increased number of cells to meet the demands of the body under unique circumstances which may be adaptive, or maladaptive. So while thickening of the endometrium during pregnancy may be normal, increased thyroid size or a nodule due to hormone imbalance may be abnormal.
Not all trophies are good trophies
Hypertrophy
An increase in the size of the cells to meet the demands of the body and tissues; cells look normal, just larger. This can also be a normal response like when you lift weights, or abnormal when the heart is exposed to high blood pressure for a long time.
